Parfait Bassalé

Parfait Bassalé is an American singer songwriter and peacemaker originally from Benin Republic (West Africa) whose music is known to take listeners on an emotional journey. His lyrical vulnerability, dressed with haunting melodies and carried by soulful and velvety vocals, trigger introspection, self-discovery, and a "feel good vibe."
Reflective of his immigrant story, Parfait's music echoes sounds and rhythms from various musical traditions. He is a crossover artist between pop, reggae, neo-soul, French-conscious hip hop, and gospel. You are in for a treat!
Parfait usually performs solo acts, but he occasionally teams up with guest instrumentalists. Some notable collaborations are with cellist arranger James Dehart, conductor Cameron May, jazz arranger Mark Thome, jazz artist Dominic Castillo, and the SPSCC Orchestra.

About Al's Den

Head downstairs at the Crystal Hotel to hang out in this venue named for Al Winter, Portland's 1940's gambling overlord. Enjoy a craft libation in this intimate, speakeasy-style space where live music and comedy fill the air.

Sunday-Thursday, 3-10pm
Friday-Saturday, 3pm-midnight

Happy Hour served Sunday-Thursday, 3-6pm
(21 and over only after 5 pm)
